The Role
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Social Media Assistant to support the planning and operational functions of our social media team. This role focuses on maintaining channel calendars, ensuring smooth publishing processes, and accurate reporting and tagging to deliver timely and effective campaigns. You will collaborate closely with the Social Media Executive, Senior Social Media Manager, and insights team. This is a hybrid role with office and home working, with occasional opportunities for on-set attendance if required.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain social channel calendars across platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clear visibility of scheduled content.
- Support scheduling, publishing, and live posting, including managing checklists, captions, links, and final quality assurance before go-live.
- Coordinate assets and approvals by tracking deliverables, managing file paths, organising folders, and ensuring creatives are correctly placed and timely.
- Monitor comments and messages daily, flagging issues, triaging to appropriate teams, and maintaining a consistent community experience.
- Tag products and content accurately on posts and apply campaign labels/taxonomy in Brandwatch or equivalent platforms to support measurement.
- Assist the insights team by maintaining clean campaign tags, extracting basic performance metrics, and contributing to weekly and monthly reporting.
- Support deck formatting and updates to keep presentations polished, brand-aligned, and easy to follow.
- Assist with organic boosting and TikTok Spark codes as needed, adhering to agreed guardrails and processes.
- Manage administrative tasks for the social team, including meeting notes, action trackers, diary support, and maintaining best-practice documentation.
- Collaborate with community management, influencer marketing, paid social, and creative teams to amplify campaigns and increase engagement.

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:
- Some professional experience in social media, marketing, or administrative/support roles, preferably within fashion, beauty, retail, or creative brands.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly with calendars, tagging, links, file naming, and deadlines.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative team approach.
- Comfort with reporting and numerical data, including pulling metrics, maintaining trackers, and using insights tools.
- Working knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, and their differences.
- Experience with scheduling tools and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially PowerPoint and Excel/Sheets.
- Desirable: familiarity with Brandwatch, content tagging/taxonomy, TikTok Spark codes, or organic boosting.
