1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Social Media Board, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

These Terms govern your contractual relationship with us. How we process personal data is governed separately by our Privacy Policy.

2. Platform Overview

Social Media Board is a UK-based online platform that enables:

  • Job seekers to create portfolios, upload CVs, and apply for roles
  • Recruiters to post jobs and view candidate profiles and applications

We act solely as a technology provider. We are not an employer, recruiter, employment agency, or party to any hiring decision or employment relationship.

The platform may display third-party advertisements or links, including Google Ads. We do not control or endorse third-party content.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to access most platform features. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information and to keep your login credentials secure.

You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

By registering, you agree to receive essential service communications such as security alerts, account notices, and legal updates. Optional communications (such as newsletters or job alerts) can be managed via your account settings.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent purposes
  • Impersonate any person or organisation
  • Post false, discriminatory, or illegal content
  • Harass, abuse, or spam other users
  • Upload malware or attempt to compromise platform security
  • Attempt to bypass technical, financial, or usage limits
  • Upload content containing sensitive personal data unless strictly necessary

We reserve the right to restrict access, remove content, or terminate accounts where these obligations are breached.

5. CVs, Portfolios, and Platform Features

When you upload a CV or create a portfolio, you acknowledge that this content is used to operate key platform features designed to connect candidates with recruiters.

  • Displaying your profile and CV to recruiters when you apply for a role
  • Allowing recruiters to discover candidate profiles through keyword-based search and filtering
  • Generating portfolio previews and downloadable PDF exports
  • Improving search relevance and matching through automated, keyword-based indexing of CV content

Keyword-based CV indexing enables recruiters to search for and identify candidate profiles that match relevant skills, experience, or role-related terms. We do not store full extracted CV text, and indexing does not involve artificial intelligence profiling or automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

You control when your CV or portfolio is visible to recruiters through your account and application settings. Your rights relating to personal data processing, including the ability to object to or restrict certain processing, are described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Recruiter Verification

Recruiter accounts may be subject to verification checks to protect job seekers and platform integrity. These checks may include technical validation of company details (such as email domain and website reachability).

Verification outcomes may affect access to certain recruiter features. We reserve the right to request additional information or apply manual review.

7. Recruiter Services & Payments

Free Plan: Free recruiter accounts may post a maximum of 1 job per calendar month. Attempts to bypass plan limits may result in suspension.

Payments: Paid recruiter features are processed securely via PayPal.

Subscriptions: Where applicable, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation prevents future charges but does not refund previous payments.

Refunds: Refunds may be granted within 14 days only where services have not been used. Refund decisions are discretionary.

8. Optional Support Payments (Buy Me a Coffee)

We offer optional support payments via Buy Me a Coffee. These payments are voluntary and do not provide access to paid features or create contractual rights.

  • Support payments are non-refundable in most cases
  • They are processed entirely by Buy Me a Coffee
  • We do not store payment details

9. Intellectual Property

All platform software, branding, and original content are the property of 360 Web Services LTD or its licensors.

10. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and process it solely for operating the platform.

11. Security, Monitoring & Logging

We use security monitoring, access controls, and audit logging to protect users, prevent abuse, and maintain platform integrity. Logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary.

12. Platform Availability

We aim to provide reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates, or outages may occur.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the platform, reliance on job listings, third-party services, or user interactions.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

16. Severability

If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.

17. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
