About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Community Manager / Social Media Executive to lead community engagement and social media management for a major global B2B technology client. This full-time, 12-month fixed-term position is based in London within the Social department and reports to the Head of Social Excellence.

The successful candidate will act as the voice of the brand, managing daily social media execution, crisis monitoring, and client relationships across multiple regions. This role requires a strategic mindset combined with hands-on social media management, working closely with global teams including Ogilvy US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management & Client Relations
    • Oversee community management across multiple European markets and collaborate with US internal teams.
    • Serve as primary client contact in assigned regions, providing daily status updates and managing expectations.
    • Manage content calendar, ensuring live links and statuses are updated in real-time.
    • Monitor social channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X) for crisis situations and lead engagement for business-as-usual posts and events.
  • Community Engagement & Execution
    • Conduct daily engagement sweeps for tags, mentions, and direct messages across platforms including Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X.
    • Handle posting, scheduling, and monitoring of content, ensuring client approvals where necessary.
    • Provide ad-hoc real-time social media support for event activations such as the BRITS and World Cup games, including occasional out-of-hours work.
  • Strategy, Reporting & Insights
    • Develop social audits and produce quarterly reports including competitor analysis.
    • Translate social intelligence into actionable community-based recommendations.
    • Identify trends and key social moments to inform ‘social pulse’ strategies.
    • Draft engaging social copy and responses aligned with brand personas to drive engagement.

Person Specification

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in social marketing and/or community management, with a focus on LinkedIn.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools such as Sprout or Spinklr.
  • Strong creative instinct with the ability to craft compelling copy and identify emerging visual trends.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering polished, high-quality work.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency environment, demonstrating resilience and agility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident in engaging with senior stakeholders and global teams.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce actionable reports.
