Overview

McCann Manchester is seeking a Content Producer to join their Producer Hub on a hybrid basis from Craft Manchester. This is a maternity cover position with an immediate start, running until February 2027, with the option to extend. The role reports to the Head of Photography and requires the ability to travel to the Craft Manchester site. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Your Role

The Content Producer will manage the production and origination of moving content and related projects at Craft Manchester. Responsibilities include overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and meeting commercial and financial targets. The role supports content innovation and maximises in-house production capabilities locally and across the Craft network. The position focuses on retail clients, delivering fast turnaround content primarily for social media, and will be based across multiple Craft Manchester sites.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality, on time and within budget
  • Maintain great attention to detail and a high degree of organisation
  • Demonstrate excellent production knowledge
  • Maintain strong local and international production connections, staying updated on industry changes and new talent
  • Build strong working relationships internally, with production partners and clients, using a pleasant, proactive, firm but fair approach
  • Be assertive to keep clients, production partners and internal teams motivated despite unforeseen challenges
  • Exhibit clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Be proactive and anticipate potential problems, formulating smart solutions
  • Adapt flexibly to changing business needs
  • Demonstrate resilience to maintain smooth processes
  • Keep all financials up to date, including estimates, purchase orders, timesheets, invoices and billing
  • Possess strong computer skills in Word and Excel
  • Collaborate closely with your team and other teams to support individual success

Collaboration

  • Work closely with all teams within Craft, including Content, Client Services and Post-Production, to ensure hybrid resource sharing and support on integrated production projects
  • Coordinate with other content leads in Craft studios and related stakeholders responsible for content production across the agency network

Required Skills

  • Experience in production with a content focus
  • Strategic and creative thinking abilities
  • Knowledge of the retail sector
  • Experience planning projects within timescales and budgets
  • Background in short form content roles, ideally within a production advertising agency
  • Ability to respond quickly to last-minute briefs and produce content across all media

Minimum Requirements to Apply

  • Ability to work at a fast pace
  • Willingness to be hands-on and flexible
  • Flexibility with working hours to meet client requirements
  • Solid content producing experience at a production or content agency specialising in social media
  • Retail experience preferred
  • Availability to start immediately on a long-term contract until mid-2027
  • Full driving licence and access to a car for travel between sites
