Overview

Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company’s Direct to Consumer streaming service, launched in EMEA in 2019. It features content from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, and has expanded to include General Entertainment and Sports. The Disney+ team manages the strategy, commercial performance, and operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

We are seeking a Director, Influencer and Social, Disney+ EMEA, to lead a high-performing regional social team and manage agency partners. Reporting to the VP Marketing, Disney+ EMEA, this role demands strategic vision, creativity, and operational excellence to deliver innovative, data-driven social campaigns that connect with audiences across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and elevate the Influencer and wider social presence of Disney+ across EMEA.
  • Define and own the end-to-end Disney+ EMEA Brand & Content influencer and social strategy, including developing a social playbook aligned to global goals and local business needs.
  • Lead an integrated social media approach, evolving regional strategy and creative focus for owned channels.
  • Oversee paid and organic social activity, setting strategic direction to engage audiences, build content buzz, and drive engagement at scale.
  • Plan and deliver best-in-class social campaigns for major TV shows across owned, earned, and paid channels.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across The Walt Disney Company and collaborate with global colleagues to align regional execution with global priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Comms, Events and Talent Management to oversee strategy across the owned and earned estate for Disney+ and general entertainment content.
  • Partner with TWDC’s central Social & Influencer team on governance, prioritisation, strategy, and studio campaigns.

Experience & Role Requirements

  • Significant leadership experience in social, digital marketing, or media.
  • Proven experience at scale within media, streaming, entertainment, or consumer media brands, or agency-side managing streaming/media clients.
  • Expertise in developing and scaling impactful influencer strategies and creative campaigns with measurable results.
  • Demonstrable track record of owning paid and organic social strategy and driving measurable business outcomes such as subscriptions, engagement, and retention.
  • Experience managing large regional budgets and multi-market campaigns.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with experience building and leading large cross-functional teams in matrix organisations.
  • Experience managing multiple agencies and conducting agency selection and RFP processes.

Technical / Platform Skills

  • Deep knowledge of social ad platforms and tools including Meta Business Manager, TikTok Ads, YouTube for Action, X Ads, Snapchat Ads, and measurement/attribution tools.
  • Strong analytics competency, able to interpret cohort analysis, lifetime value (LTV), marketing mix modelling (MMM), and use insights to shape media strategy.
  • Familiarity with creative production workflows, community management tools, and influencer/creator platforms.

Additional Information

This permanent role is based at the London Hammersmith office, requiring four days onsite each week with flexibility to work from home on either Monday or Friday.

The position will be advertised until 6th February, but may close earlier depending on application volume.
