Fusion Media is seeking a passionate Editorial and Social Media Lead to join our established and growing agency. This role offers the opportunity to work with amazing clients across professional groundscare, landscaping, sportsturf, amenity, landscape, and agriculture sectors. The successful candidate will bridge traditional journalism and modern digital marketing, overseeing content strategy and execution across multiple platforms.
Job Description Summary
The ideal candidate will manage the full lifecycle of content, from high-level strategy to daily execution, across various clients and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade Magazine Management: Act as editorial lead by planning content calendars, commissioning or writing long-form feature articles, and maintaining high editorial standards.
- Multi-Client Social Media: Develop and execute tailored social strategies on platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok, including community management and performance reporting.
- Public Relations: Identify PR opportunities and write compelling press releases to secure media coverage for clients.
- Website & Digital Content: Create SEO-optimised website copy, blogs, and newsletters using Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress.
- Strategic Reporting: Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track performance metrics and provide data-driven recommendations to clients.
Our Ideal Person
You will be a versatile professional balancing creative storytelling with technical and organisational rigour.
Experience- Ideally 2-3 years in content, journalism, or PR roles with a proven track record managing multiple accounts or brands simultaneously.
- Versatile Writing: Ability to adapt tone of voice between formal trade magazine articles, snappy social posts, and professional press releases.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in CMS platforms (WordPress), social scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Later, Buffer), and analytics.
- Project Management: Exceptional organisational skills to meet tight deadlines across different clients and projects.
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable working with data to demonstrate ROI.
- Creativity: A natural storyteller who stays ahead of fast-moving digital trends.
- Interpersonal Skills: Confident in client-facing roles and building relationships with media outlets.
