Overview

The company is expanding its marketing capability as part of continued growth across its London portfolio. This newly created Social and Content Manager role reflects a long-term investment in brand, community, and customer advocacy, with a clear mandate to elevate how the organisation shows up across social channels. You will join a collaborative marketing function and work closely with digital, communications, and on-site teams to bring the brand to life. This is a hands-on role combining strategy, content creation, paid and organic execution, and community building, with immediate impact and genuine ownership.

The Role

As Social and Content Manager, you will own the day-to-day social presence across key platforms, ensuring content is consistent, high quality, and aligned to business priorities. You will develop and deliver a social strategy that strengthens brand visibility, grows community engagement, and supports customer acquisition and retention. You will also create hyper-local social plans tailored to individual London locations, capturing stories, moments, and content that feels relevant and authentic to each community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own organic social strategy: Deliver the organic social plan across Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms, balancing brand storytelling with measurable performance.
  • Create content end-to-end: Produce engaging video and static content, including short-form social video, carousels, and thought-leadership formats.
  • Manage paid social activity: Support planning and delivery of paid social campaigns, working with internal teams and/or external agencies to optimise targeting, creative, and results.
  • Build and nurture community: Lead daily engagement and moderation, responding in brand voice, encouraging conversation, and protecting brand reputation.
  • Develop hyper-local strategies: Create location-specific social plans for individual London sites, reflecting local communities, events, and customer stories.
  • Activate internal ambassadors: Recruit, brief, and guide internal social ambassadors to scale authentic content creation and amplify on-the-ground brand experiences.
  • Measure and optimise: Track performance using analytics tools, translate insights into action, and continuously improve content and channel output.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with digital, communications, and on-site teams to align content with wider initiatives and ensure consistent messaging.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years’ experience in organic social and content roles, ideally within a brand or multi-site organisation.
  • Hands-on capability filming and editing short-form video content.
  • Strong understanding of creative best practice for both brand-led and performance-driven campaigns.
  • Confidence using analytics and reporting tools to measure performance and inform optimisation.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and external agencies.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple locations, priorities, and deadlines in parallel.

Contract Details

  • 3-month contract (potential to roll).
  • Open to freelance working.
  • £230–£290 per day (inside IR35).
