Overview
We are seeking a Head of Content to lead and elevate all production across our TikTok agency, Nonsensical. This remote UK-based role involves occasional travel for team meetings and access to co-working spaces in London and Birmingham. You will be responsible for defining and enforcing creative and operational standards, ensuring every piece of content meets our high-quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all production at Nonsensical, overseeing shoots from planning and logistics to delivery and sign-off.
- Manage pre-production activities including scheduling, resourcing, location planning, kit management, risk assessments, and coordination between creatives and clients.
- Oversee post-production workflows, provide feedback on drafts, and ensure all content meets brand tone, quality standards, and deadlines.
- Own and refine the production process, including briefing, file management, approvals, and content handover systems.
- Continuously assess and improve production workflows by identifying bottlenecks, implementing new tools, and evolving processes to enhance creativity and efficiency.
- Be the final sign-off on content quality; no content goes live without your approval.
- Lead and develop the content team, supporting videographers, editors, and producers by setting clear standards and providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, strategy, and account teams to ensure timely, on-budget, and high-quality execution of ideas.
- Maintain oversight of production budgets and ensure efficient shoot operations.
- Develop best practice frameworks for filming, lighting, audio, and editing tailored for TikTok-first content.
- Stay ahead of TikTok trends and production innovations, including editing techniques, gear, formats, and tools.
- Champion the distinctive Nonsensical look and feel, ensuring every video is creative and platform-appropriate.
Person Specification
- Strong production background with experience leading shoots and managing post-production.
- Deep knowledge of TikTok and short-form video platforms, including formats, pacing, transitions, and editing trends.
- Proven experience managing creators, editors, and production teams.
- Confident in providing clear creative feedback and maintaining high standards.
- Exceptionally organised, able to balance multiple shoots, edits, and deadlines.
- Comfortable working with fast turnarounds and adapting to changing client needs.
- Experience scaling or restructuring content teams, introducing new systems, and driving cultural or creative change.
- Strong understanding of on-set production practices including lighting, sound, framing, and direction.
- Skilled at building scalable systems such as workflow templates and production calendars.
- Calm under pressure with a solutions-focused mindset.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar editing tools.
- Knowledge of how AI can assist in the production process is a plus.
- Experience aligning production with creative strategy and business goals is highly advantageous.

- Step 4: Second Interview + Task – Complete a small strategic or creative task and present it to your potential manager and the Chief Content Officer, demonstrating your thinking, leadership, and creativity.
