Job Description

Contract: Full-time
Location: City of London, United Kingdom
Salary: Not Specified
Company: Billion Dollar Boy

Overview

We’re entering the next era of brand building, where social-first moves beyond a buzzword to become a living, breathing, and prioritised operational model. It’s where culture forms, demand is created, products scale or stall, and brands are built in real time.

In this role, you will lead the charge over a core workstream, evolving our multi-market owned social capability to transform how global brands grow. You’ll make that model bigger, faster, and famous.

We require candidates to have demonstrable experience in a social or creative agency.

This role is a powerhouse blend of strategic leadership and operational excellence. You will own the systems and standards that define owned channel work, grow the team, and ensure delivery with zest across every market and platform.

You will collaborate with social teams, creators, and producers to refine the engines that power what it means to be a social agency with creator instinct.

We’re ready to define the next era of social. Are you?

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and experience: You’ve led social at scale and have a deep understanding of creators.
    • 10+ years’ experience in social media management, including leadership responsibility.
    • Deep strategic leadership, building best-in-class implementation frameworks in partnership with brand strategists, feeding into broader performance and insights work.
    • Proven track record delivering campaigns and always-on channel management for major brands.
    • Strong experience managing multi-market publishing and channel governance.
    • Deep understanding of platform-native content, community behaviour, and creators.
  • Innovation: Always at the forefront of new platforms, formats, and functionalities.
    • You can build systems and make them stick.
    • You know how to create operating models that scale.
    • You can set standards teams actually follow.
    • You can build structure without killing creativity.
    • You know how to turn complexity into clarity.
  • Judgement, taste, and pace:
    • You know what good looks like instantly.
    • You can elevate content quickly without overcomplicating it.
    • You understand how culture moves and how platforms reward behaviour.
    • You care about writing, editing, and craft.
  • Leadership style:
    • Calm under pressure. Direct when it matters.
    • You build belief in teams and confidence in clients.
    • You set the tone and raise the bar.
    • You move fast but don’t cut corners.

Skills & Attributes

  • Build and scale the owned social practice:
    • Demonstrable experience in a social or creative agency.
    • Lead the evolution of our social media management capability into a category-defining practice.
    • Turn proven delivery into a scalable operating model that works across brands, markets, and teams.
    • Build frameworks, training, and playbooks that raise standards across the business.
    • Become a trusted partner to our clients, providing counsel and expertise.
  • Strengthen the production engine behind social:
    • Own and refine the production workflows that power always-on social across multiple clients.
    • Improve how production schedules, content pipelines, and delivery timelines operate.
    • Build systems that allow teams to move faster without losing quality.
    • Turn strong operational practice into repeatable infrastructure.
  • Evolve our creator-led social system:
    • Continue developing our creator hub model as the engine of owned social.
    • Strengthen how creators, strategists, editors, and social managers work together.
    • Ensure creator input consistently strengthens brand output.

About Billion Dollar Boy

Billion Dollar Boy is the award-winning social agency with Creator Instinct. We believe that to win in a social-first world, you need to be creator-first. We transform how brands grow in a creator world, inspiring them with sharper strategy and creative work designed for the places where people actually are.

Since 2014, BDB has partnered with iconic brands including Heineken, Nike, Unilever, PepsiCo, and L’Oréal. Our work has been recognised by Cannes Lions, Campaign Awards, The Drum, Webby Awards, and Shorty Awards.

Powered by Creator Instinct, we capture what great creators do naturally. We sense, shape, and scale cultural energy, translating it into a structured system for brands. This allows us to systematically turn cultural energy into commercial impact.

All of this is enabled by Companion, our proprietary technology. We deliver empirical, data-driven insights and end-to-end strategy, as well as AI to validate and scale performance.

FiveTwoNine keeps us connected to our global network of creators. This fuels the system with creator insight and behaviour, as well as community understanding, allowing brands and talent to co-create campaigns perfectly suited to the target audience.

Together, we create industry-leading creator-driven social campaigns. In 2025, BDB and Companion were named Global Agency of the Year and Global Tech Platform of the Year at the Global Influencer Marketing Awards. In the same year, we also received a prestigious IPA Effectiveness Accreditation.

BDB has been named AdWeek’s Fastest Growing agency for five consecutive years. Additionally, BDB was named Agency of the Year at the 2025 Drum Awards, as well as Social & Creator Agency of the Year by AdWeek.

Our Culture

Our mission is to redefine advertising by reflecting culture through the voices of creators, where creativity is democratised and technology is the driving force behind impact. We champion equity and inclusion, believing that diversity sparks creativity, problem-solving, and well-being.

Alongside fostering these values, BDB is committed to being the most innovative creator marketing agency in the world through initiatives like FiveTwoNine and Muse.

Our Values

We believe one of the biggest issues advertising agencies face is reputational. Our vision is to change that by setting a new standard of advertising with a greater social purpose, where creativity is democratised and technology drives efficiency and effectiveness.

Billion Dollar Boy has identified industry problems and potential solutions, leading to a set of Future Behaviours that should be adopted by every agency to positively change advertising as a whole:

  • Be Fair, Be Transparent – treat everyone fairly and ensure recognition.
  • Intentional Inclusivity – actively listen and value diverse perspectives.
  • Champion Curiosity – be curious, embrace feedback, and explore new ideas.
  • Own it – take accountability, be adaptable, and lead by example.
  • Work for Tomorrow – make decisions that contribute to a better future for BDB.
  • Kindness Over Ego – lead with empathy, humility, and honesty.
  • All other call-outs.

Equal Opportunities

We encourage employees to be open and confident and appreciate that every member of the team makes a vital difference.

Billion Dollar Boy embraces equality, diversity, and inclusion and seeks to promote these benefits in all of our business activities.

When recruiting new employees or affording current employees opportunities for promotion, we will:

  • Recruit, develop, and retain the most talented people regardless of their background and make best use of their talents.
  • Not discriminate unlawfully against any person.
  • Select the best person for the job in terms of qualifications and abilities.
  • Adopt an approach to equal opportunities and the avoidance of discrimination at work.

We offer a considerate suite of competitive benefits, which will be discussed throughout the interview process.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
