Smalt is an AI-first backoffice and growth engine empowering skilled tradespeople to become entrepreneurs. Since 2023, the company has raised €12M from leading venture capital firms including General Catalyst, Owl Ventures, and noa, achieving strong revenue traction of €4–5M. Smalt is currently scaling its brand and content presence and is seeking a Social Media Manager Intern (m/f/d) for a 3–6 month hybrid internship based in Berlin, starting ASAP.
Your Opportunity
As a Social Media Manager Intern at Smalt, you will be responsible for the full content production lifecycle, from podcast recordings and video shoots to publishing posts that reach thousands daily. This role offers hands-on experience in building a brand within a competitive B2B market, working closely with the marketing and leadership teams to shape Smalt’s public presence and drive real engagement.
Your Responsibilities
- Pre-Production
- Schedule recordings, book locations, and coordinate guest calendars
- Research and reach out to potential podcast guests
- Prepare briefing documents and run-of-show outlines
- Production
- On-site coordination during shoots, including setup support and logistics
- Ensure recordings run smoothly and on schedule
- Post-Production
- Brief and coordinate external video editors
- Identify key clips and highlights for social content
- Manage delivery timelines and ensure on-time publishing
- Social Media Management
- Own and manage Smalt’s social channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok
- Plan and maintain a content calendar
- Create, schedule, and publish posts in various formats such as text, images, carousels, and short-form video
- Repurpose podcast and video content into platform-native formats
- Engage with the community through comments, direct messages, and mentions
- Track performance metrics and suggest improvements
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 1–2 years of experience in social media or content production in a related field
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple timelines and stakeholders
- Strong understanding of trends, timing, and platform-specific content strategies
- Clear opinions on effective content and creative ideas to contribute
- Fluent in both English and German
