Overview
LALIGA is looking for a Junior Social Media professional (native English speaker) to join its Digital Strategy Department. This role focuses on supporting the creation, management, and optimisation of English-language content across LALIGA’s global social media channels. You will contribute to the league’s international digital presence by producing engaging social content, supporting campaign execution, and helping deliver matchday coverage and event-based storytelling. The role also involves collaboration with regional offices and international agencies to ensure content aligns with LALIGA’s broader global strategy.The Role
As a Junior Social Media professional, you will help manage and grow LALIGA’s English-language social media output across major platforms. This includes planning, producing, and publishing content while ensuring it remains culturally relevant for international audiences. You will support global campaigns, contribute to reporting and insights, and assist with real-time coverage during matches and major events. The role requires strong writing skills, platform knowledge, and the ability to work quickly in a live sports environment.Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging English-language content for LALIGA’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X (Twitter).
- Support the planning and execution of digital content strategies for key international markets.
- Coordinate with regional offices to ensure local campaigns and events align with global social media strategies.
- Collaborate with international content agencies to develop and refine social media assets.
- Produce digital reports and insights on campaign performance and wider sports industry trends.
- Provide live coverage of LALIGA matchdays across multiple social media channels.
- Support coverage of major league events with timely, engaging updates and content.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in social media content production, ideally within sports or entertainment.
- Native-level English writing and editing skills.
- Experience collaborating with international teams and understanding culturally diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with social media management tools and digital content workflows.
- Strong video production and editing skills for short-form content such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Ability to create engaging multimedia content that strengthens storytelling and brand impact.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work during matchdays, major sporting events, and weekends when required.
