Overview

Kickstart is seeking a Marketing & Social Media Intern to join their team based at Suite 2.18 Trafford House, Stretford, Manchester M32 0RS, with activities across schools in Greater Manchester. This full-time, fixed-term internship offers an opportunity to support marketing and communications efforts, contributing to content creation, social media management, branding, and digital engagement. The role starts on Monday 13th July 2026 and pays £12.71 per hour.

About the Role

This role supports Kickstart’s Marketing & Communications team by contributing to content creation, social media management, branding, and digital engagement. The successful candidate will use creativity, organisation, and teamwork to promote Kickstart’s story and enhance marketing and online visibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop content for social media across multiple platforms
• Plan and maintain organised content calendars
• Design branded marketing materials including flyers and banners
• Capture and edit photos/videos for use online
• Write newsletters, blog articles, and campaign content
• Update website content where needed
• Assist with email marketing campaigns
• Create surveys and support data collection and analysis
• Support marketing campaigns and school events
• Work with external suppliers when required

Candidate Requirements

• Essential: Strong communication and writing ability
• Essential: Good organisation and attention to detail
• Essential: Willingness to learn and develop skills
• Essential: Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Desirable: Confidence using social media platforms
• Desirable: Basic design skills (Canva/Adobe preferred)

Interview Information

Interviews will take place on Tuesday 14th April 2026 at the Kickstart office and are expected to last the full day. Further details will be provided to invited candidates.
