Position Overview
The Director, Marketing and Communications is accountable for the strategic development and execution of marketing and communications initiatives for Encore EMEA. This includes lead generation, brand content creation, and collaboration with Customer Experience Management (CEM), Sales, and Operations teams to support sales enablement and business growth. Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Communications, this role is a key member of the Commercial team, responsible for delivering integrated marketing and demand generation campaigns with measurable impact.
Key Job Responsibilities
Marketing and Demand Generation- Develop and deploy marketing initiatives that generate profitable revenue growth, increase website traffic, marketing qualified leads, and enhance brand recognition.
- Act as a brand ambassador by localising global brand assets in line with Encore Global standards.
- Manage Encore EMEA websites, optimise content for SEO and AI, and develop SEM strategies to achieve targeted ROI.
- Collaborate with CEM, sales, and operations teams to create marketing materials, tools, and resources including lead nurturing campaigns, collateral, brochures, and videos.
- Oversee project and campaign lifecycles ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
- Monitor and report on the success of marketing communication initiatives.
- Manage and grow the EMEA marketable customer database, improving data quality and customer engagement through relevant communications.
- Collaborate with sales teams to support CRM strategy adoption and growth of marketable contacts.
- Create relevant, inspiring, and engaging content positioning Encore EMEA as a strategic thought leader.
- Develop and execute content plans including articles, video content, and other assets.
- Leverage digital marketing channels to distribute and amplify brand content, driving website traffic and lead generation.
- Lead internal communications strategy and execution across email, intranet (Encore Connect), and internal social platforms.
- Manage EMEA intranet content, newsletters, and national team meeting communications.
- Translate, adapt, and localise internal and external communications for various languages.
- Lead external communications including media outreach, thought leadership content, speaking engagements, and brand positioning.
- Oversee content development for social media platforms, ensuring alignment with global social media strategy and policies.
- Partner with Encore for All Business Resource Groups to ensure inclusive and accessible communications.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing programmes to improve resource allocation, efficiency, and revenue generation.
- Manage the marketing budget and develop business cases for future investment.
- Develop and/or recruit Encore EMEA’s marketing and communications team.
- Provide direction, coaching, and resource allocation to achieve business objectives.
- Lead internal teams and collaborate with creative services and external specialists to enhance campaign assets and departmental capabilities.
- Promote a culture of high performance, accountability, continuous improvement, and commitment to quality.
- Manage performance, address employee concerns, maintain staffing levels, and facilitate team development.
- Oversee HR activities including selection, performance management, and learning.
- Provide ongoing coaching and training to ensure adherence to Encore standards.
- Recommend training opportunities for team members as required.

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- Proven track record in developing branded national marketing and communications campaigns.
- Expertise in content strategy, SEO, digital and social media marketing.
- Demonstrated ability to create impactful marketing programmes with strong branding and persuasive messaging.
- Balanced strategic, practical, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
- Ability to lead and execute tasks as a hands-on team member.
- Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams to foster a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Bi-lingual skills in French, German, or Spanish are advantageous.
Work Environment
Work is primarily office-based. Working hours may include irregular schedules, on-call duties, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members are expected to adhere to Encore’s appearance guidelines.
