McCann Manchester is seeking a Senior Social Media Account Director to join their hybrid team based at the McCann Campus in Macclesfield. This role offers the opportunity to lead social media strategy and client management within the UK’s largest integrated agency, set in a unique countryside campus environment.

The Part You’ll Play

The Social Media team is integral to McCann Manchester’s offering, fully integrated with Production, Digital Media and Creative departments. As Senior Social Media Account Director, you will manage key client accounts, identifying opportunities to maximise return on investment through social media activities.

You will utilise bespoke and industry-leading tools to ensure clients lead conversations on social platforms and invest budgets effectively. Combining creative thinking with data analysis and insight generation, you will create award-winning work that drives engagement.

In addition to client management, you will lead and mentor a talented team, oversee account delivery, and contribute to new business by devising and presenting strategic proposals.

As Senior Social Media Account Director You’ll Bring

• Extensive experience in a senior social media role, with expert knowledge of various social platforms.
• Practical, hands-on experience across social media fundamentals including strategy, content creation, community management, paid social, reporting and client management.
• Proven ability to devise social strategies using platforms such as Facebook Business Manager, Twitter Ads, Pinterest Ads, Snap Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
• Expertise in social media trends, creative best practices, influencer marketing, paid social and performance analytics.
• Experience leading and mentoring teams while managing accounts with significant budgets.
• Strong understanding of social media integration with other channels including Digital Media, Influencer, PR and Broadcast.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
• Experience contributing to new business development and pitch processes.
