The Role
We are seeking a full-time Social Media Manager or Senior Manager based in Manchester, with some flexibility for remote working. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies, creating engaging content, optimising social media platforms, and managing day-to-day social media operations. This role also involves monitoring social media trends, analysing performance metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies
- Create engaging and relevant content across social media platforms
- Optimise social media channels to maximise reach and engagement
- Manage daily social media operations and team activities
- Monitor social media trends and competitor activity
- Analyse performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimisation (SMO)
- Hands-on experience managing and motivating a team of social media professionals
- Experience with paid media campaigns
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Proficiency in developing and executing content strategies
- Excellent understanding of social media platforms and current trends
- Ability to analyse performance data and adapt strategies effectively
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience in PR or related fields is advantageous
- Highly organised, both creative and analytical
- Ability to work within a talented team across multiple high-profile consumer brands
