The role of Social Content Coordinator & Creator at Beatport is a unique opportunity to engage with DJ culture, social storytelling, community engagement, and brand strategy. This position is based in London, UK, and offers a hybrid working model. Responsibilities

  • Channel & Community Management
    • Manage daily publishing across Beatport, including content scheduling, project management, stakeholder management, and reporting.
    • Handle queries to surface relevant content, conversations, or moments for brand participation.
  • Content Creation & Video Production
    • Lead filming and editing tasks for short-form video content, including Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts.
    • Use industry-standard apps and devices to create compelling, brand-aligned content.
    • Develop social-first, conceptual ideas for original Beatport content series and story franchises.
    • Collaborate with production and creative teams to maintain brand identity and quality.
    • Utilise data-driven insights to optimise Beatport’s creative output.
  • Campaign Execution & Calendar Management
    • Support the Social Media Manager with social campaigns related to artists, labels, live shows, partnerships, or cultural moments.
    • Maintain an organised, up-to-date content calendar for Beatport.
    • Manage scheduling and publishing of content modules on Hootsuite / Dash, ensuring consistent tagging.
    • Coordinate paid spend and ad boosting with our media agency.
  • Trend Identification & Creative Input
    • Monitor emerging trends in music, social media, and nightlife culture.
    • Proactively pitch creative ideas based on online trends.
    • Collaborate with the social team to translate insights into content formats or creative experiments.
    • Identify creators and influencers for potential partnerships.
  • Performance Reporting & Optimization
    • Ensure all content is managed in Hootsuite / Dash and proprietary systems for reporting and data retention.
    • Pull data for regular reporting templates.
    • Support the Social Media Manager in identifying successful strategies and suggesting optimisations.
    • Share learnings with the wider team to inform future content planning.

Requirements

  • Deep familiarity with DJ culture, electronic music, the live environment, and the global music community.
  • Confident use of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, along with the wider social landscape.
  • Experience in filming and editing short-form video content using tools or native social editing apps.
  • Conceptual thinker with creative ideas.
  • Solid understanding of platform best practices and content crafting for different formats.
  • Understanding of engaging content and audience attention capture.
  • Knowledge of the Beatport brand’s position in the global music marketplace.
  • Clear and concise communication skills for writing and collaboration.
  • Strong time management and organisation skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines.
