Overview

JD Sports is seeking a Social Content Creator to support the day-to-day production requirements for its social channels. The successful candidate will create social-first content that engages target audiences, aligned with the company’s values, mission, and guidelines. This role involves producing content tailored for paid media campaigns, ensuring assets are optimised for performance across platforms and aligned with campaign objectives. The position is based at The Sharp Project, Manchester, within the JD Studio department, reporting to the Lead Content Creator.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Produce video, photography, and motion content from concept to final deliverables, including Instagram, TikTok, and product videos.
  • Create and adapt content for paid social campaigns, ensuring assets are optimised for platform specifications, audience engagement, and measurable performance.
  • Work closely with the in-house team to develop concepts and campaigns, proactively clarifying requirements and deliverables.
  • Style, prep product, direct talent, and conceptualise content ideas.
  • Assist the Project Manager with daily project activities.
  • Investigate and develop new production methods.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet key stakeholder expectations.
  • Work to set timelines and budgets.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Social & Cultural Understanding

  • Maintain a strong awareness of new trends on social media and in the fashion industry.
  • Possess excellent working knowledge of relevant talent and social media influencers.
  • Generate weekly reports on social media trends and present findings to senior leadership, identifying opportunities.

Skills, Experience & Knowledge

Essential
  • Proficient in end-to-end video and photo production with a focus on social media content.
  • Technically minded with the ability to use and maintain production equipment.
  • Proven experience in social media content production.
  • Keen interest in fashion and culture.
  • Deep understanding of design, video, photography, and motion workflows.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities, multi-task, meet deadlines, and maintain a “can do” attitude.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is expected.
  • Creative problem solver.
Desirable
  • Experience with studio lighting equipment and a clear understanding of Capture One.
  • Solid understanding of how to deliver social and paid assets using a camera and iPhone.
  • Familiarity with CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Blackmagic, DJI Mimo, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Full UK driving licence.
