About the Role
We are seeking a talented Content Creator / Social Content Editor to join our Films team. The primary focus will be editing short-form, social-first video content across various formats (16:9, 9:16, 1:1) to support both organic and paid campaigns for employer branding clients. Beyond video editing, you will contribute to creative development and ideation for social-first content. Motion design experience is advantageous, and there may be opportunities to assist with on-site content capture using iPhones or DSLRs, although camera skills are not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form video content tailored for social media (organic and paid) in multiple formats based on platform requirements.
- Create engaging narratives from interviews, event footage, behind-the-scenes content, and storytelling.
- Source and sync music, sound effects, and text overlays to maximise audience engagement.
- Experiment with new editing techniques, formats, and trends to keep client content fresh and native to each platform.
- Occasionally attend social shoots, supporting on-site filming with iPhones or DSLRs.
- Perform colour grading and sound mixing to deliver polished, professional output.
- Manage and deliver organised content assets for internal and client reviews.
- Monitor emerging social media trends to inform creative decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
- Track cultural, competitor, and employer brand trends daily, proactively generating new content ideas.
- Drive innovation opportunities through content development.
Person Specification
- 2–3 years’ experience editing social-first content within a creative environment (agency, brand, or freelance), including researching, producing, and editing video content.
- Highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro; After Effects experience is a bonus.
- Creative thinker with the ability to contribute to social ideas and content strategies.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, formats, and current trends.
- Excellent attention to detail with a sharp eye for storytelling, pacing, and brand consistency.
- Versatile video content creator comfortable shooting on iPhone and DSLR.
- Knowledge of various file formats, colour spaces, and working with log/raw footage.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time-management skills to meet deadlines across multiple projects and stakeholders.
