Job Description

Contract: Full-time
Location: Greater London, United Kingdom
Salary: Not Specified
Company: The Advocate Group
Recruiter: Emma Cuffe

Overview

The Advocate Group is partnered with a fast-growing, family-owned UK-based spirits business with a rich heritage and a portfolio of award-winning whiskies and rums. Known for crafting exceptional spirits that celebrate tradition, quality, and innovation, the business is seeking a Social Content Manager to define the long-term social media strategy, build audience engagement, and amplify brand impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a long-term social media strategy that defines the brand’s voice, positions it within the market, and drives sustainable audience growth.
  • Identify key target audiences and ensure all content and campaigns are designed to reach and engage them effectively.
  • Plan and manage the social media calendar, aligning content with brand campaigns, drinks-based events, festivals, and key industry dates.
  • Create compelling written content, including captions, copywriting, and website copy, that resonates with audiences and supports brand objectives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, and Operations teams to ensure campaigns are coordinated and optimised for brand visibility.
  • Build and nurture relationships with influencers, brand ambassadors, and industry experts to amplify reach and credibility.
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics to continually refine strategy and maximise engagement.
  • Support new product launches and innovations with engaging social storytelling that resonates with the audience.

About You

  • Experience in a luxury FMCG environment, ideally whisky/spirits or high-end consumer goods.
  • A proven social media strategist with experience setting long-term plans that build audiences and drive engagement.
  • Strong copywriting skills and a creative mindset; photography or video skills are a plus but not essential.
  • Data-informed and analytical: able to identify the right audience, track performance, and adjust strategy to deliver results.
  • Confident in following trends, prioritising engagement, and shaping how a brand communicates online.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and passionate about premium spirits or FMCG brands.
