Overview

Sunny Art Centre is a leading art academy based in Covent Garden, specialising in professional art courses for adults, children, and portfolio preparation for art and architecture universities. We are seeking a creative Social Media & Content Creation Assistant to help showcase the life of our studio through high-quality video and digital content.

The ideal candidate will be confident filming classes, demonstrations, and interviews, editing engaging videos, and producing content that highlights the artistic process and attracts new students. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys working in a creative environment and understands how to turn real studio activity into compelling online content.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production & Content Creation
  • Film art classes, demonstrations, and studio activities in a professional and visually engaging manner
  • Capture high-quality footage of students working, tutors demonstrating techniques, and artwork being created
  • Conduct short interviews with tutors and students about their artistic process and experiences
  • Edit videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and website content
Social Media Content
  • Create engaging short-form content such as reels, TikToks, and promotional videos
  • Write captions and posts promoting classes, workshops, and exhibitions
  • Maintain a consistent and professional visual style across social media platforms
  • Photograph student artwork, exhibitions, and studio life
Content Performance & Improvement
  • Monitor how content performs across social media platforms
  • Analyse engagement, views, and audience response
  • Identify what types of videos perform best and improve future content accordingly
  • Experiment with new formats, trends, and storytelling approaches
Interviews & Storytelling
  • Conduct short on-camera interviews with tutors, students, and visiting artists
  • Edit interviews into engaging clips suitable for social media and the website
  • Help highlight student success stories and creative journeys

Skills & Experience

Essential
  • Strong experience filming and editing video content
  • Familiarity with camera equipment, lighting, and audio recording
  • Video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar)
  • Experience creating content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Good understanding of what makes content engaging on social media
  • Strong visual awareness and attention to detail
Personal Qualities
  • Creative and visually minded
  • Confident working around people and filming in a live studio environment
  • Proactive and able to generate new content ideas
  • Organised and comfortable managing multiple projects

Additional Information
