Job Description

Contract: Full-time
Location: City of London, United Kingdom
Salary: Not Specified
Company: Mishcon de Reya LLP

Overview

Mishcon de Reya is one of the UK’s best-known law firms, representing some of the most famous people globally. The firm has established a strong brand presence that extends beyond the legal sector, consistently delivering exceptional results.

Focused on three interconnected sectors—Innovation Economy, Private Wealth and Capital, and Real Estate—Mishcon de Reya operates under its strategic vision, ‘Vision 2030’. Renowned as a disputes powerhouse, the firm has a formidable capacity for dispute resolution and maintains offices in key innovation and capital centres including London, Cambridge, Oxford, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the UAE.

With the tagline “It’s Business. But it’s Personal.”, the firm aims to harness the law’s potential in a rapidly changing world by unlocking possibilities others do not see and delivering personalised client service at the highest level.

The primary focus of this role is social media: planning, creating, and posting engaging content that positions Mishcon de Reya as a leader in its fields while reinforcing its unique brand essence—bold, creative, innovative, and deeply client-focused. The role also involves producing and curating content for internal communications to engage and inform colleagues across the firm.

Content should resonate with target audiences by reflecting their interests and key issues, appearing on relevant channels and in preferred formats.

The Role

We are seeking a creative Content Executive to join a small, agile Communications Team. Reporting to the Communications Manager and supporting the Communications Director (jobshare), the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and producing high-quality, brand-consistent creative content across digital platforms to inform, engage, and influence audiences.

The role requires close collaboration with the Events, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Development teams, and fee earners to ensure content aligns with the firm’s activities and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Content strategy and campaigns
    • Collaborate with the team and external agencies to deliver creative, brand-consistent digital campaigns and content plans that meet objectives and maintain high standards.
    • Write clear, effective briefs for external agencies and oversee their work.
    • Utilise a wide range of digital channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp, and YouTube to maximise reach and engagement.
    • Recommend and manage paid social activity, including budget oversight and performance reporting.
  • Social media and digital channel management
    • Manage and grow Mishcon de Reya’s social media channels, ensuring content is timely, relevant, and engaging.
    • Create and maintain a schedule of social posts using ‘the grid’, the firm’s content/marketing activities planner, to ensure consistent output.
    • Monitor and analyse campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Hootsuite, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
    • Monitor social media channels for reputational risks and escalate issues as appropriate.
    • Ensure all content complies with legal, regulatory, and brand guidelines.
    • Maintain the digital content archive, ensuring assets are organised and accessible.
  • Collaboration and internal engagement
    • Support internal communications and firm-wide campaigns to engage diverse audiences.
    • Contribute actively to the communications team, including managing the team inbox, reviewing and publishing content, and responding to press and internal communication priorities.
  • Training
    • Advise and train lawyers and colleagues on optimising LinkedIn profiles, video skills, and personal digital presence.
    • Conduct interviews with colleagues to create authentic, people-focused content showcasing the firm’s culture and expertise.
    • Provide expert advice to ensure all creative content and materials are inclusive and accessible.
  • Other responsibilities
    • Attend and support events, photo and video shoots, which may occasionally require out-of-hours work.

Skills and Experience

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a paid social media and/or communications role, or a background in design/creative.
  • Good understanding of key social media platforms, including algorithms, popular and emerging formats, tools, and trends.
  • Strong digital creative skills, ideally including proficiency in graphic and video creation tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Figma, or similar.
  • Ability to create and manage a schedule of social posts aligned with wider marketing activities and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across the firm and with agency partners.
  • Organised, resilient, and calm under pressure, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting demanding deadlines.
  • Proactive in identifying improvements to digital content and processes to increase audience engagement.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a busy, agile team.
  • Positive, ‘can do’ attitude, willing to support colleagues across the communications team.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design.
  • Photography skills and experience capturing high-quality images for digital channels are desirable.

Please note this job profile is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned by your line manager as required.
