Social Media Content Creator

Overview

It’s Not Just A Period is seeking a freelance Social Media Content Creator to join their team on a hybrid remote basis, with regular travel to Warwickshire for filming. This role involves 16 hours per week (2 days) at a rate of £14.00 per hour (£112.00 per day). The successful candidate will help manage and grow the organisation’s online presence across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, contributing creatively to content development and community engagement.

Women’s health has long been overlooked, and we aim to challenge this through powerful storytelling. We highlight real women with real stories and are expanding into advocacy, campaigning, policy change, events, live shows and educational workshops. We are looking for a creative and organised social media professional to support our growth.

The Role

This freelance position involves hands-on content creation and management across multiple social media platforms. The role requires creativity, flexibility and a proactive approach. While most work can be completed remotely, attendance at in-person filming sessions in Warwickshire is necessary.

Key Tasks

• Content Creation: Script, film, edit and schedule a mix of founder-led and podcast content.
• Podcast Clipping: Edit and schedule engaging, viral-worthy clips for shorts from podcast episodes.
• Content Filming: Travel to Warwickshire regularly for hands-on filming sessions to capture fresh, dynamic content.
• Asset Creation: Produce social media assets, carousels and thumbnails for episodes.
• Insights & Analytics: Monitor performance and share insights to inform content strategy.
• Creative Experimentation: Brainstorm and test innovative ideas, new trends and fresh formats to accelerate organic growth.

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine passion for women’s health and the mission of It’s Not Just A Period.
• Experience in social media content creation, ideally for a brand.
• Proficiency in editing short form content using tools such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar.
• Experience creating social media assets and thumbnails.
• Strong understanding of social media channels, including what works and why.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated, proactive and driven individual.
• Based in or around the Warwickshire area.
