Edison Media is seeking a creative and commercially aware Social Media Executive with proven experience in content creation within e-commerce, B2C, and fashion brands. This hybrid role, based in Swinton, involves planning, creating, and managing social media content across multiple platforms to drive brand awareness, community engagement, and conversions.

The Role
The Social Media Executive will play a key role in planning, creating, and managing social media content across multiple platforms, working closely with our creative and marketing teams. The ideal candidate understands how to create engaging, on-trend content that supports brand identity and drives business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, create, and schedule engaging content across social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.)
- Develop creative concepts aligned with brand identity and current fashion, e-commerce, and B2C trends
- Shoot and edit high-quality photo and video content (including Reels and TikToks)
- Manage day-to-day social media activity, including posting, community engagement, and inbox management
- Monitor performance metrics and optimise content based on insights and analytics
- Stay ahead of social trends, platform updates, and competitor activity within B2C and e-commerce markets
- Collaborate with internal teams on campaigns, launches, and brand strategies
- Support influencer outreach and collaborations where required
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Social Media Executive or similar role
- Strong background working with e-commerce, B2C, and fashion brands (agency or in-house)
- Demonstrable experience in content creation (photo, video, short-form content)
- Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, or similar
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok
- Ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into action
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A creative mindset with a strong eye for detail and aesthetics
Desirable Skills
- Experience working within an agency environment
- Knowledge of paid social campaigns
- Influencer marketing experience
- Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify)
