The Role: Social Media Content Manager
Step into a key leadership role as Social Media Content Manager, leading the strategy and execution of British Airways’ social media presence. As a senior member of the Social Media team, you will manage a dynamic team, drive engagement, and ensure our social content reflects the quality, innovation, and pride behind every British Airways journey.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the creation of high-impact content across British Airways’ global social media platforms.
- Manage a team of Social Media Content Executives, overseeing campaign planning, delivery, and performance.
- Collaborate with influencers and internal partners to maximise brand exposure and storytelling opportunities.
- Shape and execute social media campaigns in both the UK and international markets, staying agile with trends and viral moments.
- Oversee community management, ensuring responsive and engaging communication with audiences.
- Provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams including marketing, customer engagement, and communications.
- Deliver meaningful analysis of content performance to inform future strategy and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure all content aligns with our brand values, tone, and strategic direction.
- Champion integrated communications, aligning activities with agency and internal teams for maximum impact.

- Excellent photography, videography, and editing skills from concept to publishing.
- Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter).
- Expertise in campaign planning, audience engagement, and performance evaluation.
- Experience leading people and cross-functional collaboration with measurable results.
