Hargreaves Lansdown is seeking a Social Media Content Manager to lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of social media activity across all major platforms. This role sits at the heart of a fast-evolving marketing function and plays a key role in strengthening brand awareness, audience engagement, and measurable business impact through high-quality, compliant social content. Marketing at Hargreaves Lansdown is undergoing significant transformation, with a strong focus on integrated content, brand storytelling, performance marketing, CRM, and digital optimisation. This role is designed for a strategic and creative social media professional who can operate at a high editorial standard while using insight and data to continuously improve performance.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver social media strategies aligned with wider marketing and business objectives.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of social media channels, including content planning, publishing, and community management.
- Work closely with internal teams such as Content, Brand, PR, Media, and Compliance to ensure all social activity is integrated, compliant, and best-in-class.
- Maintain consistently high editorial, creative, and production standards across all platforms.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on social performance using analytics tools, translating insights into clear recommendations and optimisation plans.
- Manage and support paid social campaigns in collaboration with the Media team, using performance data to refine targeting, messaging, and outcomes.
- Stay up to date with platform changes, emerging trends, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Support crisis communications and reputation management on social platforms when required.
About You
- Strong understanding of major social platforms including LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft engaging, clear, and compliant content.
- Experience using social media management and analytics tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or Google Analytics.
- Confident interpreting performance data and turning insights into actionable social strategies.
- Highly organised with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Proven experience in a social media management role, ideally within financial services or another regulated industry.
- Demonstrated success growing and engaging social audiences in a structured, compliant environment.
- Good understanding of governance, risk, and compliance considerations in social media marketing.
Working Pattern
- Based in the Bristol head office (Harbourside).
- Hybrid working model with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
