Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and fast-paced communications team at Scotland’s largest College.
Edinburgh College helps tens of thousands of students achieve the future they want. Your role will be to help capture some of the amazing work that happens across our four campuses and communicate it through our social media channels.
Role Summary
The Social Media Coordinator will lead on crafting the College’s social media activity, drawing upon the talents of the Communications, Marketing & Design Team to produce dynamic, engaging content that enhances the reputation of the College and promotes its activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop a content calendar covering all of the College’s social media channels, providing a look-ahead to upcoming events, milestones and marketing campaigns.
- Work with the Communications and PR Lead to produce a Social Media Strategy for the College, setting out key messaging, approaches and guidance for each channel.
- Monitor the latest trends on social media and ensure College accounts utilise these where appropriate.
- Utilise videography and photography skills to create engaging content.
- Create monthly reports using benchmarks and KPIs to track the performance of social media channels.
Person Specification
- Comfortable working in a proactive press team environment.
- Able to balance several different workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong team player, willing and able to support other members of the marketing and design teams as needed.
