Overview
We are seeking a Social Media Executive with a strong passion for social media, particularly TikTok, who understands how content, culture, and strategy combine to drive genuine brand growth. This full-time, hybrid role is ideal for a hands-on, creatively sharp, and commercially aware individual who can manage trends, content planning, performance analysis, and contribute to the wider social strategy.
About the Role
The Social Media Executive will be responsible for building and enhancing the brand through engaging social content. You will be expected to take ownership of TikTok and short-form video content, support social media strategy, maintain brand voice, and optimise performance to maximise impact.
Key Responsibilities
TikTok & Short-form Content (Key Focus)- Own and execute the TikTok strategy, from trend-spotting to content creation and optimisation
- Create, edit, and publish high-performing short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)
- Confidently appear on camera when required or direct others to do so
- Stay ahead of trends, sounds, formats, and platform changes, identifying those worth leveraging
- Support the development and implementation of the overall social media strategy
- Plan and manage content calendars across TikTok, Instagram, and other relevant platforms
- Balance brand storytelling, education, entertainment, and conversion-focused content
- Collaborate closely with marketing, influencer, and e-commerce teams to align campaigns
- Maintain and evolve a consistent, confident brand voice across platforms
- Engage with the community through comments, direct messages, and interactive content
- Understand audience interests and reflect these in content
- Track and report on content performance metrics including views, engagement, retention, and conversions
- Use insights to continuously refine content and platform strategy
- Test, learn, iterate, and analyse the effectiveness of content
- Support TikTok Shop activities, integrating content, launches, and key products into the short-form strategy
- Tag and link products within content to create a seamless in-app shopping experience
- Assist with live sessions, including pre-heat content, talking points, clipping, and repurposing high-performing moments
- Monitor basic performance metrics such as views, clicks, and conversions to understand drivers of engagement and sales
- Identify opportunities to convert trending or viral formats into shoppable content
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves- Strong experience managing TikTok for a brand or creator
- Deep understanding of short-form video and social-first storytelling
- Strategic mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture beyond individual posts
- Comfortable filming, editing, and publishing content independently
- Excellent written communication skills and strong visual judgement
- Experience in e-commerce, beauty, wellness, or consumer brands
- Familiarity with influencer or user-generated content (UGC) styles
- Basic understanding of paid social or performance marketing
- Experience working in a fast-growth brand or startup environment
