Social Media Intern – 3 month contract

Overview

Dezeen is offering a 3-month social media internship within its digital team based in London. Dezeen is the world’s most influential architecture and design magazine, reaching two million readers a month and boasting more than 8.5 million followers across social platforms.

Role Description

The social media intern will assist the acting digital editor in scheduling digital content published on Dezeen for sharing across all social media platforms, as well as delivering sponsored content across these channels. Additional responsibilities include supporting other digital tasks such as newsletters and comment moderation.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and possess some experience in copywriting, social media, paid partnerships, and digital content. Specifically, the candidate should demonstrate:

• Impeccable standards of written English, a strong understanding of grammar and punctuation, and an eye for a strong image
• Some experience in writing for social media
• Some experience working with social media scheduling software
• Fluency in TikTok and enthusiasm for emerging platforms
• Experience in editing short video content
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop and Premiere Pro

Responsibilities

• Liaise with different departments at Dezeen to determine priorities and schedules
• Provide regular updates on task due dates and progress to relevant parties

• Full-time availability is required
• Start date: Monday 2nd February
• Location: Dezeen’s office in Hoxton, London, UK
• Salary: £519.40 per week (paid position)
