Overview
Manpower are currently seeking an interim Social Media Manager to work with our global FMCG client, Elida Beauty, renowned for brands such as TIGI, VO5, Toni & Guy, and Brylcreem. This role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
Location and Contract
The position is based in Holborn, London. This is a full-time temporary role until the end of September 2026, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation is competitive, paying up to £45,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

The Role
This is not a standard social media position. We are looking for a digital renegade with a sixth sense for trends, a strong creative instinct, and the confidence to challenge the norm. You will take charge of our social presence globally, focusing on the US and UK markets, working closely with the global marketing team to execute a social-first strategy that drives relevance, reach, and radical engagement.
You will not simply “post and hope”. You will own the algorithm, identify trends before they peak, and convert engagement into sales.
What You’ll Do
Social- Lead the end-to-end social strategy and day-to-day channel management for Bed Head across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms (US & UK focus)
- Create a content plan that captures attention and encourages sharing
- Develop content including planning, shooting, and captioning to shape conversations, drive clicks, and champion creativity
- Own and activate the brand’s social content calendar
- Analyse data, understand the algorithm, and innovate through a test-and-learn approach
- Collaborate with creators, hair stylists, disruptors, and rebels to amplify the brand voice
- Set the tone for a brand that builds a community of like-minded people
- Turn trends into campaigns and memes into movements
- Act as a bridge between culture and commerce with key beauty retailers
- Build and manage a global community of hair enthusiasts
- Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders including creative and media agencies, marketing, commercial teams, and CMI to ensure timely and effective project delivery
- Monitor benchmarks to measure the impact of social programmes and analyse effectiveness to maximise results
- Monitor and report on social budgets and KPIs
- In partnership with the Head of Brand in the US and UK, manage the overarching marketing calendar to drive alignment across global markets
Who You Are
- A social-first content expert with 4+ years of experience in agency or brand environments
- Deep understanding of Gen Z, digital culture, and the mechanics of TikTok
- Passionate about short-form video and native storytelling
- Extremely creative yet data fluent, understanding what works and why
- Excellent planning skills and familiarity with social planning tools
- Global mindset with the ability to work across time zones
- Comfortable working at pace, making bold decisions, and owning outcomes
- Willing to travel for in-real-life events up to 20% of the time
- Passion for beauty, hair, fashion, or music is advantageous
