Job Description

Contract: Full-time
Location: City of London, United Kingdom
Salary: Not Specified
Company: KittyCard
Recruiter: Gareth

Overview

KittyCard is building the simplest way for friends to manage money together, covering everything from nights out and group trips to shared bills and celebrations. We are early-stage, moving quickly, and this role offers the opportunity to shape a brand and community from the ground up. We are hiring a London-based Social Media Manager and Creator to define KittyCard’s voice, grow our presence on TikTok and Instagram, and turn real group moments into content that is culturally relevant, highly shareable, and performance-driven.

The Role

You will own KittyCard’s organic social output end-to-end: strategy, planning, creation, publishing, and performance optimisation. This is a hands-on role for someone who can consistently deliver short-form content with strong hooks, clear storytelling, and platform-native execution. Alongside social, you will support marketing campaigns that drive awareness and app adoption, working with creators, partners, and internal stakeholders to build momentum and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead social growth: Own and grow KittyCard’s social presence across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms, improving reach, engagement, and follower growth.
  • Create short-form content: Plan, script, produce, film, and edit high-performing content including trends, skits, memes, UGC-style videos, and reactive formats.
  • Build a consistent publishing system: Run the content calendar, maintain an effective posting rhythm, and ensure consistent quality and tone of voice.
  • Translate culture into content: Track platform trends, formats, and conversations and adapt them into KittyCard-relevant ideas quickly and authentically.
  • Drive marketing campaigns: Support integrated marketing initiatives that increase brand awareness and app adoption, from creative concept to rollout and optimisation.
  • Creator and influencer collaboration: Identify, brief, and manage creators, influencers, and partners across the UK to extend reach and credibility.
  • Performance analysis: Monitor results, interpret insights, and iterate content based on data, identifying what is working and scaling it.
  • Develop brand voice: Help define and evolve KittyCard’s tone and messaging so the brand feels consistent, human, and recognisable across platforms.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in social media, marketing, or content-focused roles.
  • Strong platform fluency on TikTok and Instagram, including understanding what drives retention, shares, saves, and comments.
  • Proven ability to create and edit short-form video content end-to-end.
  • Strong creative judgement and copywriting skills, particularly hooks, captions, and on-screen text.
  • Organised and reliable, able to manage a content calendar and deliver consistently without heavy oversight.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; startup experience is helpful but not required.
  • Genuine interest in products that bring people together and fit naturally into everyday life.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in apps, fintech, or consumer-focused startups.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera or directing talent confidently.
  • Portfolio examples showing high-performing or viral social content.
  • Strong understanding of UK youth, student, and social culture.

Why KittyCard

  • High ownership role with the freedom to experiment and shape the brand direction.
  • A fast-growing product with clear, real-world use cases and strong social potential.
  • A small, ambitious team with momentum and a clear growth trajectory.
  • A chance to build KittyCard’s UK presence from an early stage and make visible impact quickly.
