Overview
Manpower are currently seeking an interim Social Media Manager to join our global FMCG client, Elida Beauty, known for brands such as TIGI, VO5, Toni & Guy, and Brylcreem. This role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Location and Contract
The position is based in Holborn, London. This is a full-time temporary role until the end of September 2026, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
The role currently offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining remote and onsite work, subject to business requirements.

The Role
This is not a standard social media position. We are looking for a digital innovator with a strong instinct for trends, creativity, and the confidence to challenge conventions. You will lead our global social presence, focusing on the US and UK markets, working closely with the global marketing team to execute a social-first strategy that drives relevance, reach, and engagement.
You will take ownership of the social algorithm, anticipate trends, and convert engagement into sales.
What You’ll Do
Social- Lead the end-to-end social strategy and daily channel management for Bed Head across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms (US & UK focus).
- Create a content plan designed to capture attention and encourage sharing.
- Develop content including planning, shooting, and captioning to shape conversations, drive clicks, and champion creativity.
- Own and activate the brand’s social content calendar.
- Analyse data, understand and manipulate algorithms through a test-and-learn approach.
- Collaborate with creators, hair stylists, and cultural disruptors to amplify the brand voice.
- Set the tone for a brand that builds a community of like-minded individuals.
- Transform trends into campaigns and memes into movements.
- Act as a bridge between culture and commerce with key beauty retailers.
- Build and manage a global community of hair enthusiasts.
- Work cross-functionally with creative and media agencies, marketing, commercial teams, and CMI to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
- Monitor benchmarks to measure the impact of social programmes and analyse effectiveness to maximise results.
- Monitor and report on social budgets and KPIs.
- In partnership with the Head of Brand in the US and UK, manage the overarching marketing calendar to ensure alignment across global markets.
Who You Are
- A social-first content expert with 4+ years of experience in agency or brand environments.
- Deep understanding of Gen Z, digital culture, and TikTok dynamics.
- Passionate about short-form video and native storytelling.
- Highly creative and data fluent, understanding what works and why.
- Excellent planning skills and familiarity with social planning tools.
- Global mindset with the ability to work across time zones.
- Comfortable working at pace, making bold decisions, and owning outcomes.
- Willing to travel for in-real-life events up to 20% of the time.
- Passion for beauty, hair, fashion, or music is advantageous.
