Malmaison & Hotel du Vin, with 37 inspiring lifestyle hotels across the UK, offer unparalleled sophistication, tailored service, and authentic experiences. Each property combines timeless elegance with modern luxury. We are seeking a regional Social Media Manager to lead organic channel content across a portfolio of our hotels in the North of England and Scotland. This hands-on, field-based role involves capturing and creating platform-native content that showcases each hotel’s character, drives engagement, and supports commercial objectives. The role requires regular travel to hotels and collaboration with the wider marketing team to maintain regional relevance and brand alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the social content strategy and calendar for your region, aligned with the overarching brand(s) strategy.
- Plan, capture, edit and post original content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other relevant channels.
- React to trends and opportunities in real-time, identifying ways to make our hotels part of the wider cultural conversation.
- Partner with hotel teams to capture local content, support events and surface unique stories.
- Maintain a consistent tone and visual identity across all posts, reflecting the distinctive styles of Malmaison and Hotel du Vin.
- Support influencer activity on a regional basis in collaboration with the PR & Social Lead.
- Use scheduling and monitoring tools to track performance and engagement, reporting insights back into the wider team.
- Stay informed of platform changes, content trends and competitor activity, bringing fresh ideas to the table.
Person Specification
- Working knowledge of both organic and paid social media.
- Proven experience managing and creating social content for a lifestyle, hospitality or guest-facing consumer brand.
- Confident using social scheduling and analytics tools such as Brandwatch, Sprout Social, Sprinklr or Hootsuite.
- Platform-native knowledge of Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook and TikTok, with a strong grasp of content formats and algorithm trends.
- Skilled at filming and editing on mobile apps, with a good eye for framing, pacing and narrative.
- Clear communicator with the ability to build relationships across different hotel teams and departments.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while staying connected to the central team.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders, fostering strong relationships internally and externally.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable travelling regularly within your region to stay close to what’s happening on site.
Location & Salary
Flexible location across the North of England with a hybrid working model. Regular travel to hotels within the region is required.
