Overview

The Content Emporium, a fast-paced content-first agency working with some of the UK’s biggest brands, is seeking a Social Media Traffic Manager. This key role will bring structure, calm and clarity to a dynamic and growing social media team, managing complex content workflows, community management and social media processes across multiple client projects including 30 UK shopping centres. The position is full-time, permanent and based in Bristol with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Workflow Management
  • Ensure smooth workflow through the social department from content planning to client sign-off and publishing.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to track progress, chase approvals and flag potential delays.
  • Help the team meet deadlines and deliver content in line with social calendars and schedules.
  • Assist with quality control and content formatting prior to publishing as needed.
2. Content Shoot Planning & Coordination
  • Organise content creation days across the UK, including booking travel and accommodation for team members.
  • Coordinate shoot schedules, equipment requirements and client communications to ensure effective execution.
  • Maintain clear documentation of plans and logistics for seamless delivery.
  • Track shoot outputs to ensure all required content is captured and logged.
3. Team Scheduling & Support
  • Create and maintain rotas for community management and recurring social tasks.
  • Support workload planning to ensure fair distribution and smooth delivery.
  • Act as a point of contact for day-to-day operational queries from the social team.
  • Assist with onboarding freelancers and new starters into processes and tools.
4. Publishing Support
  • Assist with publishing Stories and Reels across client Instagram accounts as required.
  • Use Sprout Social and TikTok to schedule, track and manage social media content.
  • Liaise with clients for final content approvals or clarifications.
  • Troubleshoot publishing issues and collaborate with the team to resolve them efficiently.
5. Social Setup & Process Improvement
  • Support setting up new client accounts, ensuring correct access and brand materials are in place.
  • Help refine and document social media team processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks or inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions.
  • Maintain internal platforms and file management systems up to date.
6. Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with Strategic, Creative, Campaigns and Social Entertainment Leads, and Head of Social to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate with other departments including client success, editorial, design and CRM for cross-team collaboration.
  • Represent the social production function confidently in meetings and client calls when required.
  • Maintain a positive, solutions-focused attitude and contribute to a supportive, energetic team culture.

  • Highly organised with a talent for creating structure in busy environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and enjoys coordinating complex plans.
  • Confident and clear communicator with colleagues and clients.
  • Proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to resolve issues.
  • Strong writing skills and confidence in checking copywriting accuracy.
  • Enthusiastic about systems, planning tools and processes, helping others work better with them.
  • Excited about working in social media within an ambitious, fast-moving agency.

Practical Information

  • Location: Hybrid, with an expectation of at least two days per week in our central Bristol office (next to Temple Meads station).
  • Salary: £35,000 per annum.
  • Hours: 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
