Role Summary
The Senior Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the global social media strategy across platforms and regions, ensuring alignment with brand and organisational objectives. This role requires thriving in a fast-paced, global environment and turning insights into impactful campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth. Key responsibilities include managing the global editorial calendar, collaborating with teams to meet goals, and tracking campaign effectiveness.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global social media strategy to drive audience growth, engagement, and brand visibility.
- Manage follower growth and retention across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Use analytics tools to track performance, uncover insights, and optimise content and campaigns.
- Create and oversee content creation and publishing aligned with marketing goals and audience interests.
- Monitor and manage customer interactions to ensure a positive brand experience.
- Help develop and execute paid social media campaigns to support brand awareness, audience growth, engagement, and lead generation.
- Report on social media performance and provide recommendations.
- Lead daily execution of global and regional campaigns across all sectors and markets.
- Expand reach and engagement through platform-specific strategies and trend adoption.
- Ensure brand consistency in tone, visuals, and messaging across all content.
- Collaborate with and guide external agencies to ensure high-quality execution when appropriate.
Job Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in social media strategy, management, and execution across global markets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Proven success in growing audiences and driving engagement across major platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube).
- Experience working in international markets and adapting content for regional relevance.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, HubSpot).
- Solid understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, and performance metrics for digital content.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep knowledge of digital channels, platform trends, and audience behaviours.
- Skilled in identifying target audiences and tailoring campaigns to maximise impact.
- Strong grasp of marketing strategy and ability to apply it across diverse outreach efforts.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset, able to work independently and take initiative.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and guiding external agencies to ensure brand consistency and campaign success.
- Ability to travel to Blackburn office and/or events as needed.
Salary and Benefits
Base Range: £41,800 – £57,420 + Bonus Eligible
